I am a 51 year old mother of three and having completed the first half of my life, I am now embarking on my life - part two.

In part one, I managed to get married, have children, raise them into well-adjusted adults, develop many passions in life, became a young widow, remarried, uprooted from the city I called home for 45 of my 50 years and moved across country and retired while starting a 2nd career.

I have been around the world and finally have come to realize that people are the same no matter where you go.

My biggest life lesson is that you cannot control anyone or their actions, you can only control yourself.

I don't like to walk on dirty floors, and I love my dogs nearly as much as my children. I could eat chocolate 24 hours a day, but being a women that is allowed. I love the sea and cannot imagine myself living very far from it. I do not like snow, since I was raised in the desert. I love to put on music and dance around my house singing. I cry as easily as I laugh and sometimes both at the same time. My feet are my most important asset, other than my mind of course. They have taken me down many roads in life and have allowed me to escape situations that I probably should not have gotten into to begin with. I love to sew and feel that it is a dying art here in the U.S.

Part two of my life will see me continuing on with my 2nd career as medical transcriptionist/editor and investing more time into my passions, photography and writing being the main two.

I am skilled in wedding and portrait photography, and I like to draw outside the lines now and then with abstracts and architecture.

My writing slants a bit to the editorial side of things, but I can be as technical as the next person. I have written on the subjects that I know best such as medical issues, animal issues, family issues and law.

Currently I live with my new husband and my youngest daughter, while she attends college. I carry on with my life hoping to form new bonds, new passions, new memories and a new appreciation for life on the "otherside" of 50.

Wish me luck.
